Anna Wylie

I come from a beef and arable farm near Burntisland, Fife. I farm alongside my mum, sister and our farm manager, David. I studied law and hold a Master’s in international law of Global Security, Peace and Development, specialising in economics, sustainability and governance.

I returned home this year and am eager to diversify the business to secure its sustainable future. I believe agritourism presents a valuable opportunity to create a new income stream for my family farm by spreading financial risk and enhancing the farm’s sustainability. I am particularly motivated to help people reconnect with nature and rural life and believe diversification into agritourism is a means to achieve this.

I am looking forward to participate in the Agritourism Futures initiative to develop my business ideas for my family farm and network with leading agritourism professionals and like-minded individuals seeking to enter the agritourism market. I hope through participating in the programme I will feel better equipped to start my own agritourism business venture.
