In 2022 Claire was elected as a Councillor for Strathtay ward on Perth and Kinross Council, representing the Scottish Liberal Democrats. Claire is also the Liberal Democrat spokesperson for Agriculture, Remote & Rural Communities.
Claire was brought up on the family dairy farm near Bankfoot in Perthshire. She has lived in Perthshire all of her life, bringing up her three children whilst continuing her business interests.
