Scottish Agritourism Board Announces Two New Appointments to Strengthen Governance
Scottish Agritourism, the national sector body representing agritourism in Scotland, is delighted to announce the appointment of two new voluntary directors to its skills-based Board of Directors. The additions come as the organisation continues building momentum towards hosting the inaugural Global Agritourism Conference in Aberdeen from 23–25 June 2026.
The appointments will enhance and complement the Board’s existing core competencies. They are:
Richard Webb, partner at Mill Architects Ltd. A Scottish Agritourism Trade Member, Richard is passionate about the sustainable development of Scotland’s rural economy. Having managed a number of large scale investment projects for the agritourism sector, Richard brings strong commercial skills to the board.
Sophie Henderson, Greenburn HR, Sophie brings a vital skill set in legal and HR matters to the Board, along with a grounded appreciation for the challenges and opportunities facing Scotland’s rural enterprises today.
Riddell Graham, Chair of Scottish Agritourism, said: “As a relatively young organisation, Scottish Agritourism consistently sets a high bar for excellence and having Sophie and Richard in place will strengthen our capacity to deliver. Their skills will be invaluable as we prepare to host next year’s Global Agritourism Conference ensuring sound governance, financial rigour, and sector leadership for the event and beyond.”
Caroline Millar, Scottish Agritourism Sector Lead, commented: “With 300 member businesses and ambitious growth targets for the sector, now is an exciting time to join the Scottish Agritourism Board and I look forward to working with Richard and Sophie in the coming months.”
Speaking on their appointments, Richard said; “It’s a real privilege to be joining the board of Scottish Agritourism at such an exciting time for the sector. Through my work at Mill Architects, I’ve been fortunate to support some of Scotland’s most forward-thinking agritourism enterprises, helping them bring their ideas to life in a way that connects people with agriculture and brings commercial opportunities.”
Sophie, adds: “I am delighted to be joining the Board of Scottish Agritourism at such a pivotal time. I’m passionate about the role agritourism plays in Scotland’s rural economy and communities, and I’m proud to be part of shaping its future.”
