I am a sixteen year old agricultural enthusiast living on the Isle of Mull. I have just finished High School and now await studying Agriculture in college in September.
I would be thrilled to attend the Global Agritourism Conference, as I am eager to expand my knowledge of the relationship between agriculture and tourism. I believe it will be incredibly valuable to hear from industry experts about the impact tourism has on the agricultural sector, while also having the opportunity to connect with like-minded individuals who are passionate about driving agriculture forward in our fast-paced society.
Ultimately, I would like to expand my cattle business, I currently own 21 Shorthorn cross heifers, which I hope to begin breeding with this year. Through attending the Conference I hope to gain a greater understanding of successful business practices and then aim to use
this knowledge to grow my business and make it more productive.
At the moment, I run a small Instagram account where I showcase my cattle and share my experiences within the industry. Over time, I hope this will help create
greater awareness and interest in my business and the work involved in cattle breeding.
My end goal is to be known as a respected Shorthorn breeder, producing good quality Pedigree Shorthorn cattle with a reputation for high animal husbandry standards and good-tempered cattle.
