Bridget Joicey

Originally from New Zealand, Bridget relocated to the United Kingdom with her young family nearly two years ago. In New Zealand, she worked as a National Extension Manager, leading a range of initiatives designed to attract, retain, and develop young people within the agricultural sector.

Now based in the Scottish Borders, her husband and her are taking on the management of his family’s estate. The estate includes a mix of arable and livestock farms and is home to several commercial enterprises, from a working 19th-century water mill to countryside-focused artist studios. Bridget is also a graduate of the Kellogg Rural Leadership Programme, where her research explored “The Benefits of Red Meat Farmers Opening the Gate to Agritourism,” reflecting her interest in innovation, resilience, and the future sustainability of rural businesses.
