Grow your Agritourism Business with LEAF Open Farm Sunday

LEAF Open Farm Sunday is the agricultural and rural industry’s annual open day which provides a fantastic opportunity for everyone, young and old, to discover first-hand about our sector.

In Scotland, support continues to grow with between 15-30 farms opening their gates each year, covering a wide range of geographical areas from the highlands to the islands. It is a fantastic opportunity for Agritourism businesses to gain more exposure and income, supported by a campaign that generates exposure right across Britain.

They day is very much about you and your business, and there are resources and activities available free of charge from LEAF Open Farm Sunday, that will help you promote the farming messages. You just need to register your event at www.farmsunday.org

Events of all sizes are welcome, and you can use a ticketing system to control numbers, such as Eventbrite or Trybooking. A pre-booked farm walk can be a great way to take part for the first time, or to test the demand for an Agritourism business on your farm.

Most of the events are free of charge, but if you do plan to ask for a contribution from visitors, LEAF ask that you don’t charge more than £5.

To find out more and how to get involved visit www.farmsunday.org or you can phone LEAF Open Farm Sunday Scotland Ambassador, Rebecca Dawes, on 07792 467730.
