Cabinet Secretary to Speak at Global Agritourism Conference
Gillian Martin MSP, Cabinet Secretary for Climate Change and Rural Affairs, will join more than 600 global delegates at the highly anticipated Global Agritourism Conference at P&J Live in Aberdeen this June.
Joining conference delegates at lunchtime on Thursday, 25th June, Cabinet Secretary Gillian Martin MSP will meet with Scottish Agritourism members, Destination Leaders, and the Scottish presenters participating in breakout sessions at the Global Agritourism Conference. This engagement will provide Ms Martin with a valuable introduction to Scotland’s agritourism network and a breadth of successes and real-world challenges in the sector.
Following the lunchtime discussions, Ms Martin will address delegates from the main stage as part of the post-lunch programme.
The Global Agritourism Conference comes at a pivotal time for agritourism in Scotland, as the sector continues to grow in scale and international reputation. The Scottish Government has shown significant support for the conference during the planning stages and played a role in the 2024 winning bid and sector leaders have welcomed Ms Martin’s attendance.

The Global Agritourism Conference at P&J Live Aberdeen, running from 23rd to 25th June, will bring together over 600 delegates from Scotland and around the world to share expertise, celebrate achievements, and address the opportunities and challenges ahead for rural tourism.
The event has recently been lauded for an innovative approach to the procurement and sourcing of food and drink by the live events venue P&J Live and the sector body Scottish Agritourism.
