Wigwam Holidays Wigtown

I am part of the family team behind Wigwam Holidays Wigtown, a 300-acre beef, sheep, and glamping enterprise in Southwest Scotland. Having grown up on the family farm, I studied Rural Business Management at SRUC Edinburgh. After completing my degree, I returned home to join the family business.

I was actively involved in the farm’s diversification journey from hands on farming and livestock management to developing new accommodation, renewable energy systems, and guest experiences that connect visitors to authentic rural life. My practical approach, innovative mindset, dyslexic thinking and commitment to sustainability have helped position Wigwam Holidays Wigtown as an award-winning destination, recently recognised with the Climate Action Award at the South of Scotland Thistle Awards.

Through the Agritourism Futures programme, I hope to develop my leadership skills, explore new ideas for regenerative farming and visitor engagement, and build connections with other forward-thinking businesses. My long-term goal is to continue the family’s legacy by ensuring the farm remains both economically resilient and environmentally responsible for future generations.
