Graham and Lisa McColl took over Charleton Farm with their children in 2020. Charleton Farm is a Pick your own fruit farm half way between Aberdeen and Dundee on the coast road. Growing a variety of soft and top fruits, pumpkins and Christmas Trees, the McColls also keep and breed Kune Kunes as a farm friendly attraction and for meat.
Alongside the farm there is a restaurant, takeaway pod, farm and gift shop, children’s playpark and some goats! The most recent addition to Charleton’s agritourism adventure is a converted barn for hosting weddings.
Graeme and Lisa cite the Scottish Agritourism network as a support and inspiration to them and they relish being in a like-minded community who strive to support rather than compete as a refreshing and positive way to connect and run a business. The couple share the Destination Leader role for Angus and are looking forward to working alongside others to share the tough times and celebrate successes.
