I am a PhD student at the University of Alberta, Canada, focusing on agritourism and rural community development, with a background in geography. My research explores how agritourism can support local economies and strengthen rural communities in Alberta. I am especially interested in developing practical, evidence-based approaches that help farmers and rural entrepreneurs build sustainable and viable businesses. Having grown up on a farm, I developed a deep connection to agriculture from an early age. This personal experience continues to shape my passion for farming and rural life.

I have also volunteered on farms across Canada, gaining hands-on experience and a deeper understanding of the opportunities and challenges within the sector. Through both my academic work and practical engagement, I aim to contribute to the growth of agritourism as a pathway for rural development and community prosperity.
