First generation farmers Liz and Clive Phillips, and their 2 teenage children live in south Aberdeenshire, near Stonehaven. Over 30 years they have gradually increased their sheep flock from seven kept on rented ground, to 650 breeding ewes on their own farmland. They also grow malting barley for the whisky industry, and keep a herd of Icelandic Horses.
In 2020 Liz opened Cowden Farmhouse as a self-catering holiday let. Drawing on her background in design, and her talents for upcycling, she’s created a unique and stylish interior with the emphasis undoubtedly being on fun!
