Starting off being a keen member of my local young farmers and then going on to study Rural Business Management, I have developed a growing interest in agritourism. I am currently in my third year at SRUC with the aim of becoming a rural surveyor.
I am eager to learn more about tourism on estates and farms including the negatives and positives of this and how this contributes to the current and future economy. I have a strong interest in the diversification of farms and estates and hope to learn more about this. I find rural business entrepreneurship very interesting and enjoy hearing about others’ businesses and experiences when developing these.
I believe agritourism will be relevant in my future career and life, and I would like to gain as much knowledge as possible for this.
