Neil, and wife Debbie, are partners in the family farming business at Incheoch, which straddles the Angus/Perthshire border at the foot of Glenisla.
The business is predominantly beef and sheep, focused on producing Functional, Efficient and Robust breeding stock – with bulls and rams sold at their on-farm Working Genes sale. A 2015 Nuffield Scholarship confirmed to Neil that he was a ‘cow and sheep genetics nerd’, but Debbie has tried to broaden his mind.
A well-established holiday accommodation unit (with plans for expansion), is definitely Debbie’s thing – but Neil will share his thoughts on the impact of agritourism on the broader business.
