I am from Dublin, Ireland. I studied Agricultural Science in University College Dublin and graduated in 2020. This is where I found my passion for agriculture.
I moved to Scotland in 2020 and started working on a dairy farm in Dumfries. I then moved up to Angus, to another dairy farm within the same business in 2021 where I became assistant manager. I thoroughly enjoyed my role on the dairy and learned many skills in this role.
This year I decided it was time for a change and to learn about other areas of agriculture. I started working for CAS Millar Consulting/The Hideaway Experience and Balkello Farm. I am part of Scotland’s Agritourism Monitor Farm Programme Team as well. I have learned so much about agritourism in this role while still being able to enjoy time outdoors working on the farm also.
Through the Agritourism Futures programme, I hope to learn more about agritourism, gain valuable communication skills that will help me develop in my new role and build connections with other agritourism businesses.
