CalMac Global Agritourism Conference 2026 Young Farmers Scholarship
With special thanks to CalMac Ferries, 9 young farmers under 35 from the Scottish Islands attended the inaugural Global Agritourism Conference in Aberdeen.
The selected scholars – either young farmers, or young people, under the age of 35, with a keen interest in agritourism, agriculture or tourism – represented their Scottish island communities.
The scholarship included:
- 1 ticket for the 3 day event, Tuesday 23rd to Thursday 25th June 2026
- 1 ticket for the Gala Dinner taking place on Wednesday 24th June
- Accommodation for two nights on Tuesday 23rd and Wednesday 24th June 2026 near to the P&J Live
- Ferry tickets to the mainland from islands serviced by CalMac
The scholarship includes a three-day conference pass, featuring a full day dedicated to core tours. Recipients will enjoy exclusive behind-the-scenes access to some of Northeast Scotland’s top agritourism and farm retail businesses. Scholars are also invited to a four-course gala dinner celebrating the best of Scottish Agritourism, with dishes highlighting produce from 20 outstanding farms across the country.
